About Me
Hello and welcome to my website!I'm an artist that works under the pseudonym "Robin Rain". Formerly "Robin Ryuu". I am a digital illustrator, comic artist, and jewelry maker.Other information about me is that I love nature, mythical and fictional creatures, and also stories. Novels, comics, tv shows, video games... I love them all.I graduated with a bachelor of fine arts degree in December of 2020. I'm currently a freelance artist and a coloring assistant for GoldenGriffiness' and Dardarax's Pokemon fan-comic. I have also assisted Libertades with coloring parts of their webcomic "The Book of Chronicles".On this website, I have a variety of commission options for you to choose from. Grey: Home for Strays
Grey is a story I've been developing off and on since 2015. It is a dark fantasy comic that has a focus on the characters' inner struggles.Synopsis: This story follows Thomas Grey, a werewolf, and his meeting and acceptance into the infamous "Stray" bounty hunters. Originally comprised of a single fallen knight, Sir Milo Lenz, the Strays owe most of their infamy to having non-human members within a human society. Jasper Lenz, the adopted, half-vampire, daughter of the Strays' leader, is one such member.The story has various dark themes and topics as well as gore. As such the comic will be for 18+ viewers.This story is still in development but you can join my Discord for future updates.
Shackles of Our Pasts
I have been a coloring assistant for GoldenGriffiness' and Dardarax's Pokémon: Mystery Dungeon fan-comic, Shackles of Our Pasts, since January of 2021. I do character flats on various members of the reoccurring cast.The comic has not yet been released for public reading.
The Book of Chronicles
I assisted Libertades with coloring parts of their comic, The Book of Chronicles, from April 2020 to June of the same year. I did most of the character flats and shading for the latter half of chapter 3. The comic has since been restarted.You can read the old version here on Webtoons.And the new version, The Akashic Chronicles, also on Webtoons.

Artistic Liberty Commissions
An option available for all head-shot and bust illustration types is a discount of 25% off the base price if you're willing to forego the ability to request revisions and changes to the commission. These are meant to be quick and stress free drawings that I can do as warm ups. Commission listings on Ko-fi already have a discount.

Digital Stickers are a digital illustration option made in mind for decorating webpages and profiles as you would a physical sticker.These tend to be simplified and/or drawn with exaggerated proportions.Full-bodies of cartoonish designs go under this option as well.

Head-shots are cropped at the top of the shoulders, roughly where the deltoid muscle starts, or above depending on the character's design and composition.

Busts are cropped at the middle or bottom of the shoulders, roughly where the deltoid muscle ends, depending on the character's design and composition.

Half-bodies are cropped at the either the waist or hips, or around the bottom of the ribcage if most of the arms are shown, depending on the character's design and composition.

Custom Designs
Custom characters are designs created either from text based descriptions or a theme of choice.The design will be a flat colored illustration showing the side or front view of the character.I can also do redesigns provided that the original designer's T.O.S. allows.I can upgrade the image into a reference sheet for $15 more.

I will draw dragons and dragon like creatures.
I can draw human and humanoid characters.
I can draw various animals and creatures.
I will also draw original species.
Might Draw
I may draw tasteful nudes without genitalia or I may cover genitalia.
I may refuse illustrations or custom design commissions that are based on intellectual property not belonging to the client (you), such as fan created characters, on a case by case basis.
Some religious imagery is fine. I may draw angel and/or demon characters, or characters wearing a cross necklace for example.
Mechanical creatures and characters will be considered on a case by case basis.
Anthro/furry characters will be considered on a case by case basis.
Simple/small backgrounds will be considered on a case by case basis.
Won't Draw
I do not draw most NSFW (Not Safe For Work) art. These contain sexual or heavily violent imagery. This includes fetishes.
I will not create artwork or characters that are intended to insult or harm any individual or group of people.
I am not comfortable drawing heavy religious imagery such as scenes from a bible.
I am not comfortable depicting themes and imagery relating to politics.
I am also not comfortable depicting themes and imagery relating to drug use. I would prefer not to even draw tobacco or alcohol products for example.
I don't draw caricatures/portraits of real people or pets.
For now, detailed backgrounds are not available to commission.

This is the base price for the commission. It is an estimate on the time investment it takes to both design the piece itself and of working with the client (e.g. assembling samples of beads, providing photos, etc.).

Findings
Findings are the pieces of jewelry that typically keep the main decorative components together such as clasps and jump rings.I generally use metals such as copper and iron. If you want sterling or gold or if you have a nickel or other allergy let me know so I can check my stock or procure alternatives (prices may vary from those listed below).Findings come in a variety of metal colors.

By commissioning me, or by purchasing one of my designs, you acknowledge that you have both read and agree to these terms. Payment and Refunds
You must be at least 18 years old and use your own PayPal and bank account for USD Commissions. Game currency and other accepted payment forms are held to the minimum age to play/use their respective game/website.
Payment is required to be sent before I begin working on your commission.
If you or I cancel the commission I will provide a refund if payment was already sent, however how much of one will depend on how far I am in the process of completing your commission. You are paying for my time spent working when you commission me.
Refunds may not be requested after the final product is completed. This includes issuing a charge-back after receiving the final product.
Workflow Related
For commissioning any non-custom character illustration, you must provide an up to date, preferably digitally drawn, full-body of your character that is SFW (Safe for work). Small details can changed with a written description for free, however large design changes and/or the lack of a clear character reference will require an additional fee to cover the extra time that will be spent working.
I will provide you with screenshots at the various stages of the illustration's progress. Small projects might only have one or two, while larger ones might have many depending on the project. You may request changes until the project is marked as "completed", however only on things in the stage I am working on. For example; if I am coloring the image after you have approved the line-art, you may not request edits on the line-art with the exception of missed details or other errors on my part.
If I tell you an estimated date of completion I will do my best to uphold it, however life happens and work may be delayed. Occasionally, my mental and or physical, hand and wrist, health declines and I require breaks from owed work or all art in general. I will do my best to notify you of delays, but if you don't hear from me feel free to contact me through my email or Discord (RobinRyuu #8309).
I may cancel or deny your request at any time and for any reason. See the "Payment and Refunds" section above in case of this.
I retain the right to use or sell rejected/refunded wip sketches and designs. These may be offered as "your character here" (YCH) commissions, adoptable designs, or may be finished for my own use if applicable.
All free work (giveaways, sales, prizes, etc) will be done with artistic liberty. This means that you do not have the ability to request revisions and changes to the project and will likely not see any in-progress updates. If pressed for changes or updates the project may be canceled at my discretion.
Copyright and Crediting
Unless previously discussed, I retain the right to show the commissioned art here and the other sites I use in order to advertise my work.
You may re-post/use any image(s), I have made for you, however clear credit must be given. You may not use the images commercially unless previously discussed.
You may have physical items made using the images I created for you for your own personal use. Prints, stickers, etc. You may not use these items for commercial purposes unless previously discussed. Exception for if you selling the items as part of a transfer of character rights. Abuse of this exception will result in being blacklisted from my services.
I do not allow the use of my art and/or images in the creation and/or use of NFTs.
You may not remove any and all signatures that I use in the illustration(s).
If you order a line-art from me, you may color it yourself, however you must credit me for the lines.
Custom characters/Logos are owned solely by the commissioner and may be used commercially unless otherwise specified in their descriptions. Credit to me as the designer would be appreciated but not necessary in most cases, however you may not claim you or another person designed them unless you or they edit the design so that it doesn't resemble the design I created.
Reselling and Trading
When reselling/trading characters the purchase value of the art pieces I have made may be added to the total value of the character as long as they are the sole character in the image. You may not add the price of the art to the character's value if it depicts a character besides the one you are reselling/trading. However, please follow the terms of service of the character's designer(s) first.
